About Us

Humanitas is more than an institution; it's a living and breathing entity. Here, we discover and celebrate what it means to be authentically human. It's about nurturing the spirit that will shape tomorrow – not just leaders in title, but pioneers in thought, in empathy and conscious action. It is an answer to the need of our ever-evolving world of today.

While preserving the essence of our early years and primary school, Veritas Learning Circle (from playgroup – grade 5), Humanitas is a dedicated space for Lower Secondary (grades 6-8).

In their early years at VLC, students are provided a safe nest to nurture their unique identities and strengthen the roots of their values. As they transition to Humanitas, we witness our students take flight into the “real world” - equipped to embody those values as they move from a “Safe Space” to a “Brave Space”.

Humanitas is that space, where the journey to 'becoming' is enriched with shared experiences, the bravery to challenge norms, and the liberty to fully express one's true self. Our style of teaching and instruction has been meticulously developed to include group work, independent study, and project-based learning, to help students develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills required for the leaders of tomorrow.

Our senior school program is carefully designed to provide a balance between academics, focused on preparing students for the challenges of IGCSE, along with a variety of essential curriculum components to encourage personal growth, development, and interests.

Our Philosophy

At Humanitas, we believe in education as a holistic journey, where students, parents, and educators form an interconnected community. Our philosophy is rooted in instilling values that transcends classrooms, preparing students for not just exams but for life.

Humanitas aims to empower our students with the tools to excel academically while fostering a sense of responsibility toward the community and the world embodying the qualities and values of the conscious leaders that the world needs today.

Our Values

Curiosity

Fueling a growth mindset where learning never ceases.

Creativity

Invention, Innovation, Ingenuity – retaining the artist within.

Compassion

The cornerstone of conscious leadership.

Courage

The warrior spirit in a world that isn’t always easy.

Community

The belief that “I am, because of who we all are”

Our Mission

Becoming Conscious Leaders

Our mission centers around nurturing each child's unique path of self-discovery, guiding them not just in intellect and creativity, but in character. We're committed to cultivating an inclusive, culturally diverse community where every child grows to make informed, confident choices and connects deeply with both the environment and society. It's about empowering them to be change-makers, to be the best versions of themselves, and to become conscious leaders who inspire global harmony and progress.

We are the Hummers!

The hummingbird is the official mascot of Humanitas, symbolizing joy, freedom, perseverance, creativity, love and healing. As a totem animal, it encourages us to live in the moment, to be open to change and to pursue our dreams with optimism.

Like the hummingbird, Humanitas aims to help our students become the conscious leaders that the world needs today. Our Hummers echo the values that have been rooted deep inside them – a sense of community, connectivity and shared purpose. They approach every undertaking with fierce determination, – always striving to surpass ordinary standards and exceed expectations, be it academic, creative or athletic.
